SSI Navigation is a course that teaches divers the fundamental skills necessary for safe and confident navigation underwater. With this course, you’ll develop the skills to navigate using natural features and landmarks, a compass, and a map, giving you the ability to explore new dive sites with greater confidence and safety.
During the course, you will learn about different types of compasses and how to use them, as well as how to read and interpret underwater maps. You’ll also practice navigation techniques, such as estimating distances and following natural features.
By the end of the course, you’ll have gained the knowledge and skills to plan and execute a dive safely and efficiently, with greater awareness of your surroundings and the ability to find your way back to your starting point. You’ll be able to navigate effectively in a range of conditions, and feel more confident exploring new and exciting dive sites.
To enroll in the SSI Navigation course, you need to have a minimum age of 10 years, and have completed the SSI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent. With SSI Navigation, you’ll take your diving skills to the next level and enjoy diving with greater safety, confidence, and enjoyment.
It is not a question of having more or less experience, security is provided by the professionals with whom you dive.
